This looks like it will be an interesting movie for both believers and those who have lost faith. Due for release in March, 2014.
Many of us have lost our way, our faith, our hopes & dreams dashed, etc. Some have returned back to the flock and others have turned away not to return; others have just taken a hiatus only to become stronger in the long run.
We each have our own trials and tribulations that we must walk through, very much like an obstacle course only to find ourselves stronger on the other side. We all understand that God does not give us more than we can handle; however, somehow, we loose it in the translation of things that are happening to us.
We must all realize that God is in charge of everything, that includes the wiles of the evil one. Does that statement shake your belief even a little? It probably should. The book of Job is very telling of this matter as Satan had to ask for permission to do anything to Job and God had to grant that permission. In fact, if you get right down to the brass tacks of the matter, the permission granting between God and Satan was a bet and God took that bet. Simplistic synopsis, yes, but very to the point.
So the bottom line is: We each must determine why God permits evil to happen? So, what are your thoughts my friends?
I can see both sides of the argument. Both God’s presence and perceived absence. God is all around us, just look and see. On the other hand, if you don’t look, then you won’t see; therefore, you would perceive God is nowhere to be found, as though you are expecting neon signage.
I do not believe the trials and tribulations within my life are even close to those of Job, as I am not even close to being righteous in God’s eyes. God will probably have a heyday with my judgement concerning all that I have done, thought, and said. The folly in my heart, the lust in my eyes, and all the anger that exists within my very essence and soul. I do not believe we will get judged for the love and good things in our lives; although, it should be a counter balance (to a certain degree, but not a guarantee) to all the bad in our lives.
I look forward to seeing this movie when it arrives. Until the next exciting adventure my friends!
Godspeed and God bless you all!
