Sitting here at the Bellevue Medical Center, waiting for my wife’s procedure (no nothing serious!), and I am reminded of the movie “THE BUCKET LIST”. Morgan Freeman speaks to Jack Nicholson while on the top of a pyramid, concerning two questions asked before entry into heaven:

1. Have you found joy in your life?
2. Has your life brought joy to others?

Consider how simplistic and beautiful that is. It kind of breaks life down to something very simple and easy. While our life is intended to serve & glorify God, would this not be one thing that would glorify God? The joy of self and others?

God bless & Godspeed my friends!

I just finished reading THE GREATEST MIRACLE IN THE WORLD. It is a good story, but comes down to THE GOD MEMORANDUM and it’s synopsis, in my opinion, comes down to this:

I gave you the power to think.
I gave you the power to love.
I gave you the power to will.
I gave you the power to laugh.
I gave you the power to imagine.
I gave you the power to create.
I gave you the power to plan.
I gave you the power to speak.
I gave you the power to pray.
I gave you the power to heal.

Choose to love … rather than hate.
Choose to laugh … rather than cry.
Choose to create … rather than destroy.
Choose to persevere … rather than quit.
Choose to praise … rather than gossip.
Choose to heal … rather than wound.
Choose to give … rather than steal.
Choose to act … rather than procrastinate.
Choose to grow … rather than rot.
Choose to pray … rather than curse.
Choose to live … rather than die.

It is an interesting read, as are Og Mandino’s Great Trilogy, which Includes: The Greatest Salesman in the World, the Greatest Secret in the World, the Greatest Miracle in the World.

I will leave the book review for Doc Murf’s Corner Bookshelf

God bless, Godspeed, & good reading my friends!

Creation of a New Blog: Doc Murf’s Corner Bookshelf

Just letting you all know that I just created “Doc Murf’s Corner Bookshelf“, which is intended to be a review of the books I have read, or perhaps interesting articles.  Just thought I would let you all know.  However, keep in mind, it is still under construction. So, it will be slow going.  I do have some books that have been reviewed and plan to upload them as soon as possible.

God bless, Godspeed, and Good Reads to all!
