Sitting here at the Bellevue Medical Center, waiting for my wife’s procedure (no nothing serious!), and I am reminded of the movie “THE BUCKET LIST”. Morgan Freeman speaks to Jack Nicholson while on the top of a pyramid, concerning two questions asked before entry into heaven:

1. Have you found joy in your life?
2. Has your life brought joy to others?

Consider how simplistic and beautiful that is. It kind of breaks life down to something very simple and easy. While our life is intended to serve & glorify God, would this not be one thing that would glorify God? The joy of self and others?

God bless & Godspeed my friends!

  1. I pray everything goes well for your wife!
I think joy is very different from happiness. Happiness is based on circumstances and comes and goes. Joy is from within and lasts no matter what the circumstances. 🙂
So I love these two questions!
I have lived my life trying to be a positive in other people’s lives!
HUGS!!! to you and your wife!!! 🙂

    • Thank you, she is well. Just one of those things to be done as you become “youth challenged” as we! And you are so right, joy stems from within. We must create joy in our lives and ensure it flows into the lives of others around us.

      Thank you, little sister!
